2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Trims, Pricing, and What’s New

The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee arrives with the widest trim range the nameplate has offered in years. Jeep added an all-new Laredo Upland and brought back two names shoppers have been asking about: Trailhawk and Overland. The two-row lineup now runs ten trims.

For families across Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, and San Bernardino, that means more ways to land on the right mix of price, comfort, and capability. Here’s what changed and what Jeep has confirmed so far on pricing.

2027 Grand Cherokee Trims and Pricing

Jeep has announced starting prices for four trims. The rest follow later in the model year.

Rear-wheel drive is standard on many trims with 4×4 available, and 4×4 is standard on the higher trims. Our sales team can confirm Fontana allocation.

Engines, Towing, and Fuel Economy

Two engines cover the lineup, and both tow the same. Fuel-economy figures are EPA estimates from fueleconomy.gov.

The Hurricane 4 Turbo uses Turbulent Jet Ignition, the industry’s first high-volume application. It reaches 162 horsepower per liter, with peak torque at 3,000 rpm. Jeep rates maximum towing at 6,200 lbs with either engine. A 23-gallon tank gives the rear-wheel-drive Hurricane a best-in-class driving range of 529 miles. The Grand Cherokee offers three 4×4 systems. Quadra-Trac I stays engaged full-time with a brake lock differential. Quadra-Trac II adds a two-speed low transfer case and Selec-Terrain. Quadra-Drive II adds electronic limited-slip differentials.

The Off-Road Trims: Upland, Trailhawk, and Overland

Three trims carry off-road hardware for 2027, at three price points. Equipment detail comes from Jeep’s Trailhawk and Overland announcement.

Laredo Upland

Laredo Upland is the value play. Its 18-inch wheels wear 265/60R18 all-terrain tires, and it adds a Trailhawk-inspired front fascia with Vapor Gray tow hooks.

Upland isn’t meant to replace the Trailhawk. It’s for drivers who stay mostly on pavement but want extra traction and a tougher look.

Trailhawk

Trailhawk is the capability leader. It carries the Trail Rated badge. Standard equipment includes:

• Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system with two-speed transfer case
• Selec-Terrain with Rock mode
• Quadra-Lift air suspension with electronic semi-active damping
• Rear electronic limited-slip differential
• 30.5-inch Goodyear Territory All-Terrain tires
• Integrated TrailCam off-road camera with dynamic tire path and rear camera washer
• Six high-strength steel skid plates

The skid plates protect the engine, transmission, transfer case, suspension, and fuel tank. A Trailer Tow Package is standard, and towing stays at the full 6,200 lbs.

Overland

Overland is the premium off-roader, back for its 25th anniversary. It gets a more aggressive front end with bright tow hooks, painted black lower bodywork, a body-color roof, and Silver Silk accents.

Front seats are heated and ventilated, and rear seats are heated. Off-road hardware includes Quadra-Trac II with two-speed transfer case, class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension, hill-descent control, and semi-active damping. A 360-degree surround view camera is standard.

Jeep calls the McIntosh setup the most available audio speakers in its class. Connected services run through Jeep Connect and the Jeep app: remote start, remote lock and unlock, Vehicle Finder, and monthly Vehicle Health Reports.
